How to Remove Mold and Mildew in Your Grout

Posted by dzadmin 30 Aug 2019 No Comments »

A bathroom is a great place to relax, get refreshed, and clean. Unfortunately, bathrooms are full of moisture and are prone to mold and mildew. Years of moisture combined with dirt, soap scum, and other bacteria can leave your tiles and grout lines looking dirty and discolored. Many regular household cleaners cannot get out mold and mildew and leave your bathroom looking stained and dirty, even if it’s not.

To properly clean your bathroom grout and tiles, you need a grout and tile cleaner. Many bathrooms contain ammonia and bleach, which will damage tiles and grout over time. The bathroom is consistently exposed to dirt and water, so it’s hard to clean mold and mildew immediately; however, Grout Shield’s grout cleaners and sealers make it possible to maintain clean and beautiful bathroom grout and tile all year long.

With Grout Shield’s Grout & Tile Deep Cleaner, you are able to safely lift deep stains and clean areas without compromising the stone or grout. To use the grout cleaner: Use a mop to distribute the cleaner over the entire floor. Allow the grout cleaner to saturate into the grout for about 10 to 15 minutes, then scrub the area with a grout or bristle brush. After scrubbing the dirt away with a few brushstrokes, use a clean rag to wipe away any remaining grout cleaner. Then, use Grout Shield’s Enhancer Seal to protect the grout and tile from future dirt and stains. The sealer will make the tiles look vibrant and new; it’s also extremely easy to use. The sealer brightens and restores surfaces back to its original condition.

Ph-balanced chemicals in Grout Shield products truly get your tiles and grout clean in a safe way

Now, if the stains won’t fully go away or if you want to change the color of your grout, use Grout Shield’s color sealer. You just squeeze the sealer into the grout lines. Then, spread it into the grout lines with a brush applicator or your finger and wipe away the excess with a towel or chamois. You can choose any color in the world to recolor your grout. How to Remove Condiments from Grout

Posted by dzadmin 28 Aug 2019 No Comments »

Food spills are bound to happen in the kitchen. Ketchup, mustard, and BBQ sauce can easily stain grout. From hot dogs and burgers to chicken and fries, there’s a lot of food we cook in our homes that we use condiments for. Whether we are squeezing a bottle or dipping a fry, there’s a chance something will drip or spill onto grout lines.

In most homes, grout is white or a lighter color, which means it can easily stain from condiments, which come in all sorts of colors. Since it is porous, grout will absorb condiments easily. Condiments can stain easily and grout can be difficult to clean, so this is a bad combination. With the right grout cleaning and sealing products, it will look like the food spill never happened.

Most DIY cleaning articles may tell you to clean up the condiments with bleach, ammonia or white vinegar. These chemicals may work, but they also aren’t really cleaning the grout, and many of these chemicals can cause the grout to crack or break.

To remove the condiment stains, you want to first blot the area dry with a clean cloth. Wipe the area clean. You may notice your grout is stained a brownish/reddish/yellowish tint now from the condiments. To remove the food stains, you will want to use Grout Shield’s Grout & Tile Deep Cleaner, which cleans and lifts deep and hard-to-clean stains out of the grout’s pores.

To use this cleaner, mix 1 ounce of the cleaner with 8 ounces of warm water. Then, brush the cleaner into the grout with a brush applicator. Let the mixture sit into the grout lines for a few minutes. Then, wipe away the cleaner with a sponge and towel dry the floor. The food discoloration will be gone.

Now, if the condiment stain still won’t fully go away, you can make the grout color look like new again with Grout Shield’s color sealer. You just squeeze the sealer into the grout lines. Then, spread it into the grout lines with a brush applicator or your finger and wipe away the excess with a towel or chamois. You can choose any color in the world to recolor your grout. Check out our grout colors.

If you don’t need to recolor your grout, you should seal it with clear grout sealer to protect it from future stains.
