Protect Your Grout This Fall Season

Posted by dzadmin 14 Oct 2019 No Comments »

October is here, which means fall is here. Across the country, fall is a beautiful season where the temperatures are cooler, humidity drops, and the trees and plants start changing into beautiful colors.

Although, fall comes with some downsides. There’s a lot of debris on the ground, and potential inclement weather coming with winter right around the corner. Leaves. Mud. Branches. Snow. Grass. All these things can easily be trekked into the house from our shoes and belongings.

During the fall season, our tile and grout can take a beating. The dirt and wetness can easily seep into our grout and stain it. Your grout lines can begin to look old and dirty quick. It is essential for you to take the time to prepare your tile and grout for the dirtier seasons. Cold, wetness, mud, snow, and more, can all be damaging to your grout and tile. You don’t want any of these things to ruin your floors, because it can be a financial burden to retile and grout a room.

Before the cooler months hit, you should invest in a grout cleaner and sealer that will protect your floors year-round. The grout cleaner will help rid the tile and grout of dirt/mold/mildew build up and the grout sealer will protect the tile and grout from absorbing anything that darkens and wrecks the tile and grout over time.

Grout Shield’s product’s formulas are specifically made to clean and protect tile and grout without hurting the grout. With Grout Shield, you won’t have to spend hours scrubbing and the products go for a great price!

How to Clean Grease Out of Grout

Posted by dzadmin 11 Oct 2019 No Comments »

Cooking can get messy, especially when making a lot of food at once. A pot can boil over. Food can spit out of a pan. You could drop or spill something. Messes in the kitchen are inevitable. There are many different types of food spills, but we wanted to focus on grease. Grease can be easy to wipe off tiles, but the grease can be hard to clean off grout because it quickly absorbs into the grout lines.

Since grout is porous and usually light-colored, it will easily absorb the dark color of grease and become discolored. With the right grout cleaning and sealing products, you can clean up the grease and it will look like the stain was never there. Remember, you want to clean up grease immediately, so it is easier to clean up.

Our team at Grout Shield can help you get rid of grease stains in grout for good. A grease stain in your grout can make your kitchen or grout look old and dirty and smelly, even if you clean it regularly.

Besides getting rid of the discoloration, Grout Shield products also rid the grout of bacteria and other harmful germs that get absorbed into the grout lines over time.

Most home-cleaning products and articles may tell you to clean up the stains with bleach, ammonia or white vinegar. These chemicals and products may work and get rid of the stain, but they also aren’t really cleaning the grout, and many of these chemicals can actually cause the grout to crack or break.

To remove the grease stains, you want to first blot the area dry with a clean cloth. Wipe the area clean of the grease. You may notice your grout is stained or darkened now. To remove the grease stain, you will want to use Grout Shield’s Grout & Tile Deep Cleaner, which cleans and lifts deep and hard-to-clean stains out of the grout’s pores.

To use this cleaner, mix 1 ounce of the cleaner with 8 ounces of warm water. Then, brush the cleaner into the grout with a brush applicator. Let the mixture sit into the grout lines for a few minutes. Then, wipe away the cleaner with a sponge and towel dry the floor. The grease will be gone.

Now, if the grease stain still won’t fully disappear, you can make the grout color look like new again with Grout Shield’s color sealer. You just squeeze the sealer into the grout lines. Then, spread it into the grout lines with a brush applicator or your finger and wipe away the excess with a towel or chamois. You can choose any color in the world to recolor your grout. Check out our grout colors. A new grout color can transform the look of a room.

If you don’t need to recolor your grout, you should seal it with a clear grout sealer after cleaning it, to protect it from future spills and accidents. Next time grease lands on your grout, the sealer will prevent the grease from seeping into the grout lines, and you can wipe it right up with no stains left behind.

Check out the video below to see how easy it is to use and apply Grout Shield’s Grout & Tile Deep Cleaner and the color sealer.

Our cleaners and sealers are simple to use and apply. We guarantee the grease stain will be gone! Your bathroom and kitchen will look clean! For more information on Grout Shield products, click our grout cleaning product page, or call toll free at 1-800-631-0716.
